Teletherapy

Teletherapy

What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy is a means of providing therapy through a live connection via video over the internet. Imagine Facetime or Skype, but a private version for therapy.

Does Teletherapy work?

Yes, teletherapy can be just as effective as in-person counseling, but with the convenience of using your own computer. This can allow therapy to be more accessible to those who can’t make it into the office due to illness, distance, etc. Using a video platform, the therapist and client can see each other allowing for important verbal and non-verbal connections that are often made during in-person sessions.

Is Teletherapy private?

Yes, we use a HIPAA compliant platform. Therapist will conduct all sessions in a private and secure space. To support your privacy, we encourage you to create a private quiet space of your own.
